Operating Systems

1961 - CTSS - CTSS, which stands for Compatible Time-Sharing System, was one of the first operating systems in shared time; It was developed at the MIT Center for Computing.

1965 - OS/360 -  OS / 360 was an operating system produced by IBM between 1965 and 1972.

1973 - Xerox Alto - The Xerox Alto, developed at Xerox PARC in 1973, was the first personal computer.

1976 - CP/M - CP / M (Control Program for Microcomputers) is an operating system developed by Gary Kildall for the Intel 8080 microprocessor.

1978Apple || DOS or APPLE II was an operating system for the series of Apple II series microcomputers was released from the late 1978 to early 1983. Apple DOS had three releases main: DOS 3.1, DOS 3.2 and DOS 3.3.

1980 - QDOS - The QDOS was based on Gary Kildall's Control Program / Monitor (CP / M) for his kit computer, which in turn was based on the Intel 8086 processor.

1981 - MS-DOS - MS-DOS is an operating system for x86-based computers. Was the member most popular of Microsoft's family of DOS operating systems.

1982 - SunOS - SunOS was the version of the operating system derived from Unix and BSD developed by Sun Microsystems for your workstations and servers up to the beginning of the 1990s.

1983 - Novell NetWare - Novell Netware is a Network Operating System.

1984 - QNX - QNX is a Unix-based real-time operating system that complies with the POSIX standard. It is developed primarily for use in devices built-in. Developed by QNX Software Systems Canadian company.

1985 - TOS - The Operating System (TOS) is the operating system for the Atari ST family of computers.

1987IRIX - IRIX is a Unix-compatible operating system, created by Silicon Graphics for its 64-bit MIPS platform.

1992 - Solaris - Solaris is a Unix-like operating system developed since 1992 initially by Sun Microsystems and currently by Oracle Corporation as successor by SunOS.

1995 - Windows 95 - Windows 95 is a hybrid 16-bit to 32-bit graphical user interface operating system.
OpenBSDOpenBSD is a free multi-platform Unix-like operating system, based on 4.4BSD. It is a descendant of NetBSD, with a special focus on security and cryptography.

1998 - Windows 98 -  Windows 98 is a graphical operating system released on June 25, 1998 by Microsoft and the successor to Windows 95.

2000 - Windows 2000 - Windows 2000 is a Microsoft operating system that was released on February 2000 with a nomenclature change for your NT system. So, Windows NT 5.0 was renamed Windows 2000. It was succeeded by Windows XP for desktop computers in October 2001 and Windows Server 2003 for servers in April 2003.

2001 - Mac OS X - Mac OS X is an operating system developed and marketed by Apple Inc. that has been included in its range of Macintosh computers since 2002.7 8.

2003 - Windows Server 2003 - Windows Server 2003 is an operating system from the Windows family of the Microsoft brand for servers that was released in 2003. It is based on NT technology and its version of the NT kernel is 5.2.

2004 - Ubuntu - Ubuntu is an operating system maintained by Canonical and the developer community.

2005 - Mac OS X v10.4 - Mac OS X v10.4 called Tiger is the fifth version of Apple's operating system, Mac OS X, for Macintosh desktops and servers.

2006 - Windows Vista - Windows Vista is a version of Microsoft Windows, a line of operating systems developed by Microsoft. This version is focused to be used in desktop computers in homes and offices, laptops, tablet PCs and media center computers.

2007 - Mac OS X v10.5 - Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" was released on October 26, 2007 as the sixth revision of the Apple Mac OS X operating system for Macintosh computers.

2009 - Windows 7 - Windows 7 en This version is designed for use on PCs, including home and office desktops, laptops, tablet PCs, netbooks, and mediacenter computers.

2012 - OS X Mountain Lion (version 10.8) - OS X Mountain Lion (version 10.8) is the ninth version of OS X, Apple's operating system for its desktops, laptops, and servers.

2013 - windows 8.1 - Windows 8.1 is a free update to the operating system Windows 8. This project is a change from policy traditional updates from Microsoft, which originally consisted of in regular releases of every 2 years or so, as it will be an update greater than will introduce various enhancements to all Microsoft platforms including Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.

2015 - Windows 10 - Windows 10 is the current operating system developed by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems.7 It was officially released in September 2014 and was released to the general public on July 29, 2015. This edition introduced a "universal" application architecture. Developed with the Continuum interface and later with the Fluent Design interface, these applications can be designed to run on all Microsoft product families with nearly identical code (including personal computers, tablets, smartphones, embedded systems, Xbox One , Surface Hub and HoloLens).
